The Classics Club is holding its 19th Spin.
The idea is to list 20 of the books on your Classics Club list before 27 November 2018 when the wheel will turn and reveal the winning number. The challenge is to read whatever book falls under that number on your Spin List, by 31 January 2019.
With that extra reading time the organisers strongly suggest we put all our chunksters on this list but since I didn’t fill my list with fat books to begin with I don’t think I have twenty to add here..
So here we go, this is my list!

I still have a sufficient mix on the outstanding reads to mean that these spins don’t hold too much terror.

Cleopatra Loves Books 
I’ve read some of these books – nos.4, 6, 8, 13, 14, 16, & 20. I enjoyed them all – my favourites of those are We Have Always Lived in the Castle and Mrs Dalloway, but you can’t go wrong with any of them.
I’m interested in The Long View – one of Elizabeth Jane Howard’s books I haven’t read. I’ve read and loved all her Cazalet Chronicles but not many of her other novels.

The ones that immediately catch my eye are Jane Eyre and Sunset Song, although neither would be on my list as I’ve read them already. I had to read Sunset Song for my OU course and didn’t expect to like it as much as I did. You have a great looking list and don’t need to fear any spin number I’d say.

I haven’t actually read too many of these books, but I think you’ve got a great selection! Unpopular opinion, but I didn’t actually get on with Jane Eyre too well – it takes a really long time to get going, and even then, I’m not sure it’s worth all the hype. On the other hand, I absolutely loved reading Mary Barton – it’s a genuinely exciting story and definitely one that I would recommend! ☺️

Moonstone, Chocky, Jane Eyre and Bleak House are all amazing reads. Breakfast at Tiffany’s was good too but very different from the movie. I’ve heard amazing things about The Gowk Storm.

You’ve got some great ones there, Cleo. We Have Always Lived… is really psychologically eerie, and so well-written (I think). And The Moonstone is a classic of crime fiction. Lots of others, too, that I think wouldn’t disappoint you. Whichever you get, I hope you’ll enjoy it!

“Jane Eyre” is always my first choice of classics. Second would be “Bleak House”.

Jane Eyre, The Moonstone and my favorite Gaskell, Mary Barton are some good ones. I hope you get something you’ve been really wanting to read. I need to give some thought to my spin list, I would have easily made it all longer books but I had already planned a longer Eliot (Daniel Deronda) for December
