This meme originates from Jo at The Book Jotter and having thoroughly enjoyed participating last year, I wanted to repeat the experience this year, better late then never eh?
The aim is to sort your reads into six categories – you can choose from the ones Jo suggests or come up with your own. Although the same book can obviously feature in more than one category, I’ve chosen to select one book for each category from my favourite reads of the year so far.

I have really got to read He Said She Said. It seems to have fallen through the gaps somehow.
Great post and some other interesting books I should look out for.

This is a really creative way to share the books you’ve been reading, Cleo. And there are several authors here whose work I’ve not (yet) tried. I’m glad for the reminder of them.

What a great way to look back at your books! I see some that I’ve read: He Said/She Said, The Housekeeper, In Cold Blood, Saturday Requiem, The Child, and The Other Typist. I have A Dangerous Crossing on my physical stack of books.
Thanks for sharing.

You cant go far wrong with Reginald Hill or Peter James. Yrsa Sigurðardóttir is someone Ive only just started to get familiar with too.

I love the Reginald Hill series, he really was exceptionally good at coming up with a different ‘feel’ to each book in the Dalziel and Pascoe series and I am a huge Peter James fan…

Eight in common, I think – six we agree on: The Other Typist, A Dangerous Crossing, Bones and Silence, Dead Woman Walking, The Thirteen Problems and The Long Drop. Not bad! But of course you’re wrong about He Said/She Said and See What I Have Done… 😉

The Force by Don Winslow. Outstanding. Also, I know I’m behind this year, but I also felt DARKTOWN by Thomas Mullen and Under the Harrow by Flynn Berry, outstanding reads I only got to this year. There are a lot of books to read ALL THE TIME and sometimes it just takes time to get through them. Thanks for these categories, always enjoy your thoughtfulness.
